Introduction

Using the Illumina and Oxford Nanopore sequencing platforms, Sanigen Inc. provides whole genome sequencing (WGS) services. WGS allows researchers to understand the comprehensive genomic characteristics of unknown organisms, such as virulence factors, antimicrobial resistance, and phylogenetic relationships.

De novo sequencing

·To sequence the genome of unknown organisms, sequencing reads are assembled to contigs without any references.

Reference sequencing (Resequencing)

· When analyzing SNP, indel, and other genomic variations, resequencing method may be used. Using this method, one can map the sequencing reads from multiple organisms to the reference genome sequence and locate where the genetic variation has occured.
